Territorial custody and management 

Mireia Jiménez is pursuing a PhD on river governance and stewardship, focusing on the case study of the Brugent River basin (in the regions of La Garrotxa and La Selva) and, consequently, its passage through the Can Poeti estate. 

The Can Poeti estate, located on the banks of the Brugent River, is part of the Municipal Property Inventory. Additionally, the Brugent River is classified as a Natural River Reserve and is included in the Natura 2000 Network and the Plan for Areas of Natural Interest in Catalonia (PEIN).​

This project aims to analyze the multiple hazards associated with the effects of climate change that affect the region of La Garrotxa in order to help reduce the vulnerability of the area.
