Socio-ecological conflicts

In this section, a series of projects related to the study of various socioecological conflicts in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) are gathered.

The focus of this project is on the conflict surrounding fracking and proposes new future models to reduce the extraction of natural resources through this highly invasive technique.

This project was initiated with the aim of creating a space for discussion around the conflict generated by the high frequency of use of natural mountain environments in the regions of Ripollès, Osona, Garrotxa, and Alt Empordà.

The project “Move and Breathe: Transforming the Urban Environment for Health” highlights the relationship between environmental quality and human health, based on urban practices and environmental transformation.
