Activities
1st Edition (2021):
Mountain Livestock Farming and the Conservation of Large Fauna.
----
It was held on the morning of Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Center for Culture and Nature in Vall d’en Bas (La Garrotxa).
The session began with a welcome by Alexandre Casademunt, president of CST, and Lluís Amat, mayor of Vall d’en Bas.
Following this, key segments of the documentary "The NO to the Bear: Chronicle of a Conflict" were screened. The documentary reflects the perspectives of various stakeholders involved in this conflict, which affects both sides of the Pyrenees, and explores possible solutions.
The documentary viewing served as a starting point for the subsequent Round Table discussion, which included Vanesa Freixas, Miquel Casas, Anna Planella, and Miquel Macias as participants.
During the debate, the inherent complexity of the conflict and the importance and need for good management were highlighted, ensuring that all voices are heard and considered.
There was also significant participation from the audience, creating a space for conversation where many viewpoints, needs, and reflections were shared, extending beyond the conflict itself.
