Among the objectives of the CST is to disseminate and educate on water-related issues, a topic that is central to many of our lines of Research and Action.
Below, we list some of the activities carried out in this regard.
-
March - June 2024: Two field trips and a workshop with 5th and 6th grade students from Sant Cristòfol School in Les Planes d'Hostoles to learn about the values of the Brugent River's riparian ecosystem. The students compiled a list of initiatives they would like to undertake in the coming school year to strengthen their connection with the space and preserve it, in their role as custodians.
-
Summer 2021 and 2023: Participatory art exhibitions at Can Trona (La Vall d'en Bas) featuring artworks created by primary and upper cycle students from Verntallat School (La Vall d'en Bas) and La Bòbila School (Les Preses). The pieces depicted the freshwater ecosystems around the Gurn River, highlighting their natural heritage and biodiversity. They also referenced societal habits and their environmental impact, as well as our relationship with the natural world.
